Julie Lange Groth has been teaching shamanism since December 2000 and is an experienced practitioner. She is a graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies 3-year program as well as Sandra Ingerman’s 2-year teacher training and is authorized by Sandra to lead "Medicine for the Earth" gatherings. She has studied with other shamans from a variety of traditions.

Julie is also a Reiki II practitioner, a 4th degree Paqa in the Andean tradition, and is certified in advanced  Pranic Healing. As an ordained minister, she is qualified to perform wedding ceremonies. She is a member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies (FSS) and the Society for Shamanic Practitioners (SSP).
Julie thinks of her life as a collaboration with the creative forces of the Universe, surrounding her with abundance and joy--from her teaching and healing practice to her work as a writer and environmentalist. She was delighted to discover that her shamanic work tapped into new sources of inspiration and constantly leads her to a more creative and fulfilling life.
As a grandmother, she finds that children are natural shamans as well as uninhibited artists and she hopes to help others connect with the forgotten child/shaman within themselves.

Julie also delights in performing weddings, coming of age ceremonies, memorial services, baby blessings and other special celebrations of life's milestones.
Julie is also the author of a recently published book
Life Between Falls: A Travelogue Through Grief and
the Unexpected, her healing journey through the
tragedy and loss of her 16-year-old son into a life of
unexpected joy and richness.
